Convention of States Virginia Team is hosting a ‘Rally for the Republic’ and legislative lobby day at the capitol in Richmond, VA on Thursday, January 28th at 10:00 a.m. Eastern. Virginians who are interested in doing something to stop the overreaching federal government are welcome. Following the rally, citizens will be helping distribute informational packets and encourage legislators to vote “YES” on HJR 3, the Convention of States Resolution. Visit www.cosaction.com/virginia to sign up today and get more information.
Virginia’s HJR 3 calls for an Article V convention of states to propose amendments to rein in the out-of-control federal government. HJR 3 is a Convention of States resolution calling for fiscal restraints on the federal government; limiting the size, scope and jurisdiction of the federal government; and limiting the terms of office for federal officials (such as Congress and federal judges).
Recent endorsements by Texas Governor Greg Abbott, presidential hopeful Senator Marco Rubio, American economist, Thomas Sowell and South Carolina Congressman Jeff Duncan have elevated the project to a national discussion.
