This morning, the Senate and Governmental Affairs Committee voted 6-1 in favor of SCR52! It now heads to the Senate floor.
The resolution was authored by Senator Dan Claitor and 10 other courageous patriots in the Senate. Senator Page Cortez presented the resolution to the committee, with riveting testimony from two St. Thomas More High School civics students, Madelyn Mahtook and Anna Grace Schoeffler. The young ladies told the committee,
“ …the federal government has expanded its authority and its will upon the entire nation seeking to create one unified state as opposed to fifty sovereign states…we, the next generation, must seek to restore [the Constitution’s] original intent…”.
“It’s time for the states to take a stand in order to save the future of our great nation."
Once it passes the Senate, it will then move over to the House where it will be heard in the House and Governmental Affairs Committee.
Thank you to ALL of the volunteers that made this happen!
