Texas Leads!

Coalitions Director for Vets - Brigadier General Blaine Holt

Meet Brigadier General Blaine Holt, Texas Coalitions Director for Veterans

The Texas Convention of States team is privileged to present the newest member to our State Leadership team, Brigadier General Blaine Holt (USAF).

The Convention of States has launched a Veterans Coalition, headed up by National Director Paul Gardiner (LTC, USA).  General Holt has graciously agreed to serve as the Texas Coalitions Director for Veterans.

Brigadier General Holt most recently served as a National Co-Chair on the "Vets for Ted" coalition supporting the Ted Cruz for President campaign, where he joined Texas State Senator Brian Birdwell, also a National Co-Chair with "Vets for Ted".

General Holt is a distinguished graduate of the University of Georgia's Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps.  He is a command pilot with more than 3,900 flying hours.  His command experience includes the 376th Air Expeditionary Wing, Transit Center at Manas, Kyrgyz Republic and the 16th Airlift and 817th Expeditionary Airlift Squadrons.  He exhibited combat leadership in Kyrgyzstan during multiple crises that was deemed “essential” by the Commander, U.S. Central Command.

Other assignments include postings as the Director of Logistics, United States European Command; as Military Fellowship at the Council on Foreign Relations, New York City, New York; and as Director of the Air Force Secretary and Chief of Staff’s Executive Action Group.

General Holt also served as the Deputy United States Military Representative to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) supporting the Military Representative and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in executing the U.S. political-military mission at the North Atlantic Council.

The General has published a variety of papers across a range of national security issues and is a life member of the Wings Club and the Council on Foreign Relations.  He is currently the President of Million Air Inc., an aerospace company based in Houston, Texas.

Earlier this year, General Holt volunteered to serve as a District Captain for the Convention of States Project in Texas.  As the Texas Coalitions Director for Veterans, he joins Texas' extraordinary veterans leadership with the Convention of States, alongside our House Primary Author Rick Miller (Captain, USN) and Senate Primary Author Brian Birdwell (LTC, USA).

We are privileged and blessed with this continued service from Brigadier General Blaine "Blaino" Holt, who continues to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same."
