South Dakota District 2 Legislative Positions

Your state legislators have the power to help "Drain the Swamp" in Washington DC.  Per the US Constitution (Article V), the state legislators have the authority to call Convention of States to propose amendments to the US Constitution.

Do you know how your state legislator’s position on Convention of States’ plan to call a convention to propose amendments to the US Constitution to place further limits on the size, scope, and jurisdiction on the federal government (government agencies, states’ rights, etc), Term Limits on federal officials (including CONGRESS), and Fiscal Restraints on the federal government (Balanced Budget, repeal of the Income Tax)?

  • Since last session has been non committed to changing his “no” vote
  • He attended the Simulated Convention of States in September as a Commissioner representing South Dakota
  • Was just elected as the top Senator in Pierre for 2017 (Majority Leader)
